Norfolk at the Pictures Magazine

Produced by Cinema City Education and Archant Media.

This beautiful 94 page commemorative magazine collects together a wealth of rarely seen photographs of Norfolk’s many picture- palaces and fleapits, most of them now long gone. Norfolk at the Pictures also features the memories and personal experiences of the people who regularly attended and worked in these magical venues where it felt like dreams really could come true….

“I am delighted to introduce this special commemorative magazine produced by Cinema City Education. This unique magazine collects together some of the memories, stories and pictures gathered through the Heritage Lottery Funded project Norfolk at the Pictures.

I hope you enjoy finding out more about the rich history of cinemas and cinema-going in Norfolk through the staff, enthusiasts and cinemagoers from across the county. The magazine also looks at the films screened in local cinemas and the popularity of the region for filmmakers today.”

John Hurt, patron of Cinema City

The magazine retails at £5.99 and is available to purchase from Jarrolds department store in Norwich, the Cinema City box office and independent news retailers throughout the region. To buy a copy online please visit the Cinema City Education online shop.
