Screen Heritage Centre update

We’ve had a busy few weeks in the Norfolk at the Pictures office. Building work has begun on the development of our Screen Heritage Centre at Cinema City. Our building contractors Norfolk Professional Building Services (NPB), architect Charles Emberson (CEA) and Project Director Claire Chapman are overseeing the £810k capital project.

With the generous funding support from the Heritage Lottery Fund, many national and local Trusts and Foundations and also donations from the general public,  we are now truly underway to improve and upgrade our film education and function rooms at Cinema City to provide:

  • An exciting new space for workshops, meetings, events, private hires and exhibitions
  • Improved access via a new lift and staircase from the courtyard
  • A film learning hub that celebrates the heritage of cinema in Norfolk

We look forward to seeing the new Screen Heritage Centre transform over the next few months which is due to open in August 2016.   Watch this space for further updates. For more information please see our NATP Summary of Proposed Alterations to Cinema City.
