A free resource from the project is now available through Cinema City Education and can also be accessed online below. The resource has been designed to encourage people to reminisce about cinema going, recalling happy memories for fun and enjoyment. Please contact email@example.com if you would like a hard copy.
Moving Memories has been developed by Cinema City Education with support from the Norwich Archive Centre, Picture Norfolk, The Library Service, and a range of health care professionals including Age UK and the Norfolk & Suffolk Dementia Alliance.
In addition to utilising archive film, Moving Memories packs will include photos, activity suggestions and historical information as well as links to existing resources and recommended films for screenings all developed by education and reminiscence professionals. The project aims to create a resource around film and cinema for reminiscence and life story work in care homes and reminiscence sessions.
The project team will be trialling a reminiscence kit ‘At the Pictures’ with a specific focus on films and cinemagoing.
Resources will also be available to use at the new John Hurt Studio at Cinema City for visiting groups following the renovation of our existing education spaces.
If you would like to volunteer on this project and gain training in oral history, reminiscence work and film education please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
