The John Hurt Centre is a new accessible education and exhibition space with state of the art facilities and equipment funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Located on the first floor at Cinema City, it is reached by stairs or lift from the central courtyard, and has accessible toilets and level flooring throughout.
The Marchesi Room is a lovely, bright space with views onto St Andrews Hill and Church. Wall display panels tell the story of cinema history in Norfolk alongside cabinets containing screen heritage artefacts. It has modern screening facilities and a dedicated servery area for food and drinks.
The Colman Room is ideal for meetings, training and workshops. It has original medieval windows facing St Andrews Church and a newly reinstated Gothic window looking out over the Cinema City courtyard.
Both rooms have film presentation facilities and wi-fi. The Colman Room has an interactive whiteboard. A range of support materials such as flipcharts and projector can be provided. Catering can be provided by Cinema City’s Dining Rooms restaurant.
